Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to manage our ETL processes, maintain our data warehouse, and integrate customer reporting BI tools. In this role, you will ensure that our data pipelines are efficient, reliable, and fully optimized to support our business intelligence and reporting needs. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions that drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- ETL Development & Management:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end ETL pipelines for reliable data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
- Monitor and optimize ETL processes to ensure seamless and efficient data flow.
- Data Warehouse Administration:
- Oversee and manage our data warehouse environment to ensure high performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Implement best practices for data storage, security, and maintenance.
- BI Tool Integration:
- Integrate and manage customer reporting BI tools, ensuring smooth data access and accurate data visualization.
- Collaborate with business and analytics teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver custom dashboards and insights.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with product, analytics, and engineering teams to align data architecture with business needs.
- Provide technical support and training on data processes and best practices for internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (a Computer Science degree is not required).
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, and data warehousing.
- Proven experience with ETL frameworks and tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar).
- Strong expertise in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases; familiarity with NoSQL is a plus.
- Experience integrating and supporting customer reporting BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and best practices for data security.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure SQL) is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize and troubleshoot data pipelines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively bridge technical and non-technical teams.
